Your Everyday Guide to Living Well With Migraine – Everyday Health

Thank you to Everyday Health for spreading the word about the “Research is Hope campaign”. See what they had to say about the campaign in their article, “Your Everyday Guide to Living Well with Migraine”.

“June wasn’t the only month to pay special attention to migraine and headache in 2020. In November, the Association of Migraine Disorders (AMD) launched its first-ever Research Is Hope campaign to raise $200,000 for innovative research that aims to improve migraine patient care. A generous supporter offered to match up to $100,000 in donations until the end of the year.

AMD is a tax-exempt private foundation devoted to expanding the understanding of migraine disease and to educating a broad range of medical specialists in the management of the disease.

All the money donated during the Research Is Hope campaign will go to fund migraine-related research projects selected by AMD’s diverse, 20-person research committee. Some of the projects currently under consideration include:

  • Understanding how hormones affect the nervous system
  • Identifying when migraine affects dizziness
  • The role of biomarkers and genetics in migraine

You can help the AMD raise funds by sharing the sample messages and images on their campaign webpage on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, being sure to tag @migrainedisorders and use the hashtag #ResearchIsHope.”
