Association of Migraine Disorders® Community Guidelines
The Association of Migraine Disorders® strives to expand the understanding of migraine by supporting research, education, and awareness. The goal of these guidelines is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable in this community and to focus on the organization's mission. To ensure a positive and supportive space for all, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
1. Respect and Inclusivity
- This community is a safe space for all members.
- Be kind and respectful to all members of our community.
- No hate speech, discrimination, or harassment of any kind.
- Respect diverse experiences and perspectives related to migraine disease.
2. Stay on Topic
- Keep discussions relevant to migraine research, education, and awareness.
- Avoid posting unrelated content or advertisements.
3. No Medical Advice
- The Association of Migraine Disorders® (AMD) is a nonprofit, not a medical provider.
- Do not share or solicit medical advice; consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.
4. No Misinformation
- Share only credible, science-based information.
- Avoid spreading misinformation or unverified claims about migraine treatments or causes.
5. Privacy and Safety
- Do not share personal or confidential information in public discussions.
- Respect the privacy of others and avoid tagging individuals without consent.
6. Constructive Engagement
- Share your migraine story and experiences in a respectful and constructive way.
- When discussing challenges, offer support, and encouragement to others.
7. No Spam or Self-Promotion
- No excessive self-promotion, sales, or unrelated promotions.
- Collaborations and partnerships must be approved by the Association of Migraine Disorders team.
8. No Politics
- The Association of Migraine Disorders® is a non-partisan nonprofit focused on migraine research, education, and awareness.
- Avoid political discussions, debates, or advocacy unrelated to general migraine awareness.
9. Reporting and Moderation
- Report any inappropriate content or behavior to the moderators.
- The Association of Migraine Disorders team reserves the right to remove content and block users who violate these guidelines.
